Q. Has the Troglotech got a built in sonde
A. No, but one can be added at an additional charge
Q. Can information recorded on the Troglotech be burnt onto a DVD
A. Yes with some additional software
Q. What pipe sizes will the Troglotech do up to?
A. 12" / 300mm
Q. Is the Micro Seesnake supplied with a case
A. Yes the unit is supplied in a handy carry-case
Q. What is the minimum power required to run an IBAK System
A. A system can run from a 1KVA generator
Q. Is the Troglotech Compatible with Wincan
A. Yes wincan office and mobile. The file created by the camera can be directly embedded in the wincan report and the troglotech camera can be linked directly to a computer running wincan RS232 link
Q. What is the RIDGID SeekTech SR-20 locator?
A. The RIDGID SeekTech SR-20 is a revolutionary utility line locator that features advanced technology that will allow users a simplified method for utility line tracing, enabling greater productivity and more confidence.
Q. What makes the RIDGID SeekTech SR-20 different from locators that are currently available in the market?
A. The RIDGID SeekTech SR-20 features advanced OmniSeek™ technology that makes utility line locating much less confusing and more accurate. With its unique mapping display, the SR-20 gives users the information to locate faster, more accurately and with more confidence, ultimately making the user more efficient and productive.
Q. What is OmniSeek™ technology?
A. OmniSeek technology is what powers the SeekTech SR-20 using a combination of multi-directional antennas, active trace frequencies, and low frequency band widths. This technology is clearly displayed on a revolutionary mapping display for easy and fast locating. The mapping display provides arrows that guide the operator to the target signal, and continuously displays underground line depth.
Q. Why is the SeekTech SR-20 so easy to use?
A. The SeekTech SR-20 provides users with four distinct locate readings on the mapping display to give confidence that the locate is accurate. The mapping display shows:
•Real time line direction and depth
•Directional changes as they occur
•Directional arrows that guide the user to the target line
•Signal strength as well as a proximity number to get closer to the target line
At the same time the user is receiving these visual indications, an audible signal indicates if the user is right or left of the target line, and a distinct audible signal indicates when the user is over the target.
Q. What are Seek Tech SR-20's active and passive modes?
A. By simply pushing a button, the SR-20 can be used in several different passive and active trace modes. Passive modes include Power (50-60Hz); low frequency band width (less than 4kHz), medium frequency band width (4-15kHz) and high frequency band width (15kHz). Active modes include four line tracing frequencies (128Hz, 1kHz, 8kHz and 33kHz) and three sonde frequencies (16Hz, 512Hz, 16kHz).
Q. What kind of warranty does the RIDGID SeekTech SR-20 carry?
A. The RIDGID SeekTech SR-20 is backed by the RIDGID lifetime warranty against material defects or workmanship.
Q. Does Ridge Tool plan to introduce other SeekTech products?
A. Ridge Tool plan to introduce a family of SeekTech line locating products. The SeekTech SR-20 locator is the first product in the SeekTech "family."
Q. Can the Drain Tracer be located with a CAT
A. No
Q. What frequency does the Drain Tracer work on
A. 120 kHz
Q. Can you use the Drain Tracer in metallic pipes
A. No
Q. What depth can the Drain Tracer trace to
A. 20ft Max , 10ft reliably
Q. Can the sonde be attached to a jetting hose
A. Yes but only with a specially modified jet
Q. Where do you get spare batteries
A. The 9V battery can be purchased from most retailers who sell batteries the transmitter batteries are hearing aid batteries and can be purchased from most high street chemists
Q. How is depth calculated
A. Precision + a longer antenna gives more precision, frequencies
Q. What size compressor do I need to run the lateral cutter
A. Single tool compressor
Q. What is the cure time
A. On average2 hours depending upon temperature
Q. Is Patching an accepted repair method for sewers prior to adoption
A. No water companies will not accept for adoption pipes that have been repaired or lined
Q. What size repair kits are available
A. All standard sizes up to 1200mm but any size is available upon request
Q. Is there a 3” repair size available
A. No use a 4” repair kit, bigger kits will fit into smaller pipes but smaller kits will not fit bigger pipes
Q. Are the materials any different from the original PatchBox kit
A. No but the fibre glass is cut and applied differently
Q. Can any protective film be used with the 90 degree bend kit
A. No only the supplied film can be used as other films are not as thick and will not release from the resin as readily
Q. Working with ovoid (egg shape) pipes?
A. Use the EI stopper range! The Sava EI stoppers can be used for
blanking, bypassing, air and water testing ovoid pipes.
Q. Testing a pipeline with water?
A. Use the Standard blank and bypass stoppers or Plugy and Plugsy range
! To test up to 0.5 bar (5 metre head) use the Standard blank and bypass stopper range and to test up to 1.0 bar (10 metre head) use
the Plugy and Plugsy stopper range.
Q. Locating a leak in a pipeline?
A. Use the Standard blank and air testing stopper range! If a pipeline i
s known to be leaking following an air or water test, Sava stoppers can be used to locate the leak. By using an air test stopper in
conjunction with a blank stopper, the leak can be quickly located.
Q. Testing a pipeline with air?
A. Use the Standard blank and air testing stopper range! The Sava stoppers
can be used to air test pipelines up to 0.2 bar. In most circumstances, an air test and a blank stopper would be required to undert
ake an air test.
Q. Stopping a flow in a pipe ?
A. Use the Standard or Plugy range of blank stoppers. Sava stoppers can be
used to completely stop a flow within a pipeline. The back pressure or head of water the stopper can withstand depends upon the ope
rating range of the stopper and the internal diameter of the pipe in which the stopper will be inflated. The Plugy stoppers which op
erate at a higher pressure are able to withstand greater back pressures.
Q. Controlling a flow from a pipe by fluming and bypassing?
A. Use the Standard bypass stopper range! The
Sava Standard stoppers have a wide range of Bauer couplings to which layflat or delivery hose can be connected for bypassing and flu
ming the flow from a pipe. Alternatively, suction hose can be connected to the stopper for over pumping operations.
Q. What angle ca you do with a set and how much do you need?
A. 1 Set does 1 manhole at a time and allows anything from a straight through chanel up to a 90 degree bend
Q. Does the vertform wotk with any size ring?
A. Please check with anthire for vertform specifications
